　莎士比亞的戲劇真是歷久彌新，西方影壇對莎劇的熱潮始終不減。《鐵達尼號》的男主角李奧納多狄卡皮歐就曾拍過現代版的《羅密歐與茱麗葉》。

　《羅密歐與茱麗葉》搬上銀幕並不是第一次，早在約三十年前好萊塢就曾拍攝成電影，而且當時在世界各地都相當轟動，台灣當時的中文片名為《殉情記》。"A time for us "這首歌取材自《殉情記》中的主題曲" What is a youth "，填上新的英文歌詞，交由當時最紅的男歌星安迪威廉斯演唱，而成了一首暢銷曲。
