David Soul 大衛索爾出生於芝加哥，以 1970 年代高收視率的警匪動作影集《 Starsky & Hutch 警網雙雄 》中的角色而聞名。 　在《 警網雙雄 》影集結束後，他回歸剛入行時熱愛音樂的初衷，於 1976 年首度發行單曲" Don't give up on us "，在英、美及澳洲、紐西蘭、加拿大都拿到排行冠軍，歷年來共發行了五張專輯。 　大衛索爾於 2024 年 1 月 4 日去世，享年 80 歲。
