　愛到抽筋....唱到缺氧........

　1977 年，大隻佬歌手 Meat Loaf 肉塊由 Jim Steinman 吉姆史戴蒙為他製作了《 Bat Out of Hell 地獄蝙蝠》這張專輯，成為一線歌手。數年後，肉塊先生正在籌備新專輯，預訂採用吉姆史戴蒙為他寫的二首歌曲，其中一首是" Total eclipse of the heart "，另一首則是" Making love out of nothing at all "，但因為價碼過高，唱片公司在經濟考量下，建議肉塊先生唱自己寫的歌就好。
　

　於是，吉姆史戴蒙把" Total eclipse of the heart "給了邦妮泰勒，" Making love out of nothing at all "則給了當時走紅的澳洲團體 Air Supply 空中補給合唱團。結果是兩首歌發行後分別衝上了冠軍和亞軍寶座，令肉塊先生扼腕不已，還跟唱片公司鬧了一陣彆扭。
　

　" Making love out of nothing at all "其實是吉姆史戴蒙的舊作，他把自己在 1980 年為電影《 A Small Circle Of Friends 》所寫的配樂拿回來修改、填上歌詞，做為空中補給合唱團 1983 年發行的精選輯中唯一的新歌，發行為促銷單曲後，在百大單曲排行榜坐了三週的亞軍席次，而阻擋它前進冠軍的就是吉姆史戴蒙的另一首作品" Total eclipse of the heart "。

　" Making love out of nothing at all "有二個版本，專輯版長度為 5 分 43 秒，單曲版為 4 分 29 秒。這首歌大受歡迎後，促使空中補給這張精選輯光是在美國就賣出 700 萬張。可惜的是，它也成為空中補給最後一首打進美國前十名的單曲。

　當時 80 年代的美國歌壇出現許多詞意淫穢曖昧的歌曲，令許多父母及衛道人士群起抗議，要求政府必須設法抑制這股歪風，以免敗壞社會風氣、誤導青少年。事情演變到後來，成了創作自由與道德良知的對抗，美國政府為此舉行了多場公聽會，廣納各方建言，最終的結果是：凡是專輯中歌曲內容涉及暴力、性愛、毒品、自殺等情節者，均須在唱片封面加貼警告標示才得以公開販售。那個標誌至今在一些饒舌、嘻哈、重金屬搖滾專輯還可以看到。
　

　當時國內某大報討論此一現象時，曾點名多位暢銷歌手和歌曲，老安記得" Making love out of nothing at all "這首歌也曾被大力批判，原因是該文作者認為直譯歌名" 做愛到一點都不剩 "簡直是淫穢露骨、黃到不行。這麼好聽的一首情歌竟然春潮氾濫到毫不遮掩？當時尚未成年、英文能力有限的安某，看到這樣的說法只能半信半疑。及長，多認識了幾個英文單字，再讀這首歌的歌詞，發現當年那位作者的批判簡直是無的放矢，僅憑一個不求甚解的錯譯歌名就亂槍掃射、胡亂開火。
　

　這首歌被收入西洋歌曲合輯的次數不低，譯名多為" 無意義的(做)愛 "之類，但都是錯誤的翻譯。邦妮泰勒後來翻唱過這首歌，收錄在她 1996 年的專輯《 Free Spirit 》。
