最後樂園 老鷹合唱團 她奉天之命而來(註) 舊腐的羅德島某處 那裡的日子並不太好 而氣氛也凝重不已 (註)「她」有可能指的是亞美利堅共和國，也就是美國 她像個難民似地 帶著期盼與夢想 就像她的父親一樣 遠渡重洋而來 她聽說有個人們充滿歡笑的地方 就像北方印地安人一樣的談話方式 都說有多愛這塊土地 他們來自四面八方 到這個大分水嶺之中(註) 有些尋求其立足點 有些卻躲起來 (註):大分水嶺指的是美國南北分野，以北 Rocky 洛磯山脈為主 在群集的酒吧(註) 可沒那麼好打發了 很難也沒時間跟你說這麼多 那裡像什麼模樣 (註)：人多的地方，也可說是都市 我真的不太明白 他們稱它為天堂 城市與山野之間 真的有這麼大的差異(註) (註)：本段是主角感嘆於對階級意識的不平 然後一陣冷的讓人打哆嗦的寒風吹過 越過了沙漠、河岸的峽谷 直到沿海(註) (註)Malibu特指在加利福尼亞附近人們所稱 沿著海洋線的地方，當地也有很多稱 Malibu colony 一些不得了的人物玩著 渴望權利遊戲之所 依他們照亮霓虹燈(註)的方式 做該做的事情 (註) neon 一般有鄙視某種行為的味道 有首歌也提到 neon God they made 有些有錢人來了，蹂躪了這片土地 卻沒有人逮捕他們 一件件醜陋的盒子經包裝精美後 天啊！竟然還有人買(註) (註)這一段反諷財團或達官貴人的意味相當的深 他們稱這就是一塊天堂美好之地 應該是吧 大家看著蒙塵的日頭 沉淪在海洋裡頭(註) (註)又是一段超級反諷的語句 你可以眼不見為淨的 像多年以前的傳教士一樣 航向 Lahaina(註) (註)夏威夷的一個地名 他們也同樣帶來了霓虹燈的訊息 "耶穌來了" "耶穌來了" 卸下了白人的包袱 也帶來了白人的統治(註) (註)本段更加顯現主角對美國各種族其中的不平之聲 誰提供與計劃了統合的藍圖 你的是什麼樣？那我的又是什麼樣？ 因為沒有更新的領域或疆土 我們就在這兒完成吧(註) (註)因為我們不是美國人，很難了解這一段到底在意味著什麼 我們滿足了自我無止盡的欲望 也合理化我們豈有此理的行為 竟以命中註定 甚至以神之命來掛帥(註) (註)顯見主角相當看不下去自己人的一些作為 您可以在週六的早上 看到他們 站著並唱著 好像什麼似的 他們稱它為天堂 我真的搞不懂 你稱為天堂的某個地方 吻別吧...... |
